A Letter From The Director

Dear Members,

This year started off great! People were coming to tour the Clubhouse. “Old” members were coming back and getting engaged in our community. New members were joining. We had lots of great activities planned for the spring. Then, during Spring Break, we found out that Corona-virus had become a pandemic. None of us could have possibly known what that meant when we heard those words, as no one who is now remembers a time when the whole world was shut down.

Please remain a part of our Clubhouse community- We have Zoom meetings Monday through Friday at 9:30 and 1:30 and socials every Thursday at 2:00. Call or message us for details on how to join our meetings! We are delivering meals to our active members who live alone. Staff is at the Clubhouse every weekday from 8:30-4:30, so if you need hear a friendly voice, please call our “Warm Line” at 325-617-7884.

While this time period is hard – very hard – Know that we will get through this! When things finally get back to normal, I like to think that we, as a society, will be more appreciative of our friends, and never again take a handshake or a hug for granted.
